Gimme a Sick Pass and Tell me Your Favorite Romantic Read

Today I am sick. Sicky sick. Like, not exiting my bed except for the necessities, sick.

While I'm in this state of NIL WRITING I'd love to read a really good, solid love story. YA is ideal, but I'll look at anything that's driven by two people falling in love for real.

Anyone? Anyone?

  1. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins is an absolute must. Funny, Cute, and of course, an adorable boy.

    1. You must be the fourth writer to mention that book to me... *scurries over to Amazon*

  2. Juliet Immortal by Stacey Jay. One of the best books I read all year! Totally addicting. I read the entire thing in under 24 hours.

  3. I have no such recommendations (I always steal the good ones off you) - but am sending virtual chicken soup, chocolate m&ms and a healthy dose of Ryan Gosling... I hope you feel better soon and find a good read!

  4. I'm a big fan of The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks. I'm sure you've probably read it but thought I'd mention it anyway. I hope you feel better very soon!

  5. Are you feeling any better yet, Aimee?

One of my favorite romance books is Ain't She Sweet by Susan Elizabeth Phillips. The heroine is definitely flawed - did some really horrible things in her past and covers her guilt with a lot of sass and an air of "devil-may-care", but she's eaten up inside and trying to redeem herself.

It's a joy to read - the characters are likable, the dialogue snappy and funny, and there are several great story arcs. In fact, I think I need to dig out my copy and read it again. ;o)

    GET WELL!

  6. I'm not much for romance novels (I tend to avoid them, frankly), but I'll offer one up: Tristan and Isolde. I read it in Medieval Lit class in college, and I loved it. Better than Romeo and Juliet.
